Services for Teresa Ann McIntyre Haynes were Saturday, December 2, 2017, 2 p.m. at Williams & Lord Funeral Home in Ruleville.

Mrs. Haynes, 58, died on Thursday, November 30, 2017 at her residence in Merigold.

She was born on January 1, 1959, in Ruleville to Charles and JoAnne Parttridge McIntyre and lived in Merigold.

She was preceded in death by her father, Charles McIntyre.

Teresa was a member of The Church of Faith in Cleveland.

She worked at Mississippi State Penitentiary.

She is survived by her husband, Robert Dale Haynes Jr. of Merigold; three daughters, Megan (Chris) Livingston of Olive Branch, Monica (Eric) Mendez of Anaheim, CA, and Angel Cyr; four sons, Robbie Haynes, Jacob Haynes Mack (Kayla) Haynes and Tony Edwards; two brothers, Gary McIntyre of Mountain View, AR, and Ricky McIntyre of Olive Branch, MS; two sisters, Linda Mosley of Cleveland, MS, and Von Hall of Ashland; mother, JoAnne Hagan of Ashland; and two grandchildren, Robert Daniel Haynes Jr. and Selena Haynes.

Visitation was Saturday, December 2, 2017, from noon-2 p.m. at Williams & Lord Funeral Home in Ruleville. Bro. Michael Chamness will officiate the services.

Pallbearers will be Benny Haynes, Barry Haynes, Jamie Parttridge, Jason Parttridge, Josh Haynes, Steven Burchfield, Tony Burchfield, and Justin Haynes.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Timmy Haynes, Jeremy Parttridge, Aaron McIntyre, and Ricky Mosley.

Burial will follow at Drew Cemetery.

JoAnne Parttridge Hagan

Services for JoAnne Parttridge Hagan were held Monday, December 4, 2017, 4 p.m. at Church of Faith in Cleveland.

Mrs. Hagan, 81, died on Saturday, December 2, 2017, at Ashland Health and Rehab in Ashland.

She was born on September 20, 1936, in Sunflower County to the late John Leonard and Mary Nell Downs Parttridge.

She was preceded in death by her three husbands, Charles Otis McIntyre, John William Ray and Shirley Lee Hagan Jr.; daughter, Teresa Ann Haynes; grandson, Charles William Pate; brothers, Billy Parttridge, J.L. Parttridge, Henry Parttridge; and sisters, Johnnie Mae Yarborough, Mozelle Chason and Sara Rosamond.

She is survived by her two sons, Gary McIntyre of Violet Hill, AR, and Ricky McIntyre of Olive Branch; two daughters, Linda Mosley of Merigold and Yvonne (Greg) Hall of Ashland; three brothers, Jack Parttridge of Western Grove, AR, Charlie Parttridge of Jackson, LA, and Sonny Parttridge of Sardis; five sisters, Anna Hagan of Dyersburg, TN, Shirley Wilkerson of Cleveland, Mary Jane Winters of Ruleville, Jimmie Best of Cleveland and Janis Siglar of Gulfport; thirteen grandchildren, and eleven great grandchildren.

Visitation was Monday, December 4, 2017, from 2-4 p.m. at Church of Faith in Cleveland. Bro. Michael Chamness will officiate the services.

Pallbearers will be Tony Burchfield, Steven Burchfield, Aaron McIntyre, Ricky Mosley, Jacob Haynes, and Mack Haynes.

Jeff Harp

Funeral services for Jeff Harp will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, December 2, 2017, in the chapel of Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe. Rev. Danny McIlveene will officiate. Interment to follow at Kilpatrick’s Serenity Gardens under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe.

Jeff was born August 14, 1956, in Tunica and passed away November 30, 2017 in Shreveport, LA.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Holman E. and Mary Lois Harp; brother, James Harp and ste-son, Stephen Arendale.

Jeff is survived by his wife, Gail Harp; daughter, Jennifer Redding; son, Joseph Harp; son, Anthony McFarlin; daughter, Miranda Wilson; 9 grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Joseph Harp, Jakob Harp, Anthony McFarlin, Gage Redding, Levi Redding, Brian Redding and Ken Wagley; honorary pallbearers will be Lanny Henley, Tim McCullar and Johnny Dunn.

Billy E. White, 64, of Mound Bayou

Billy E. White, 64, of Mound Bayou died November 27, 2017, at Methodist University Hospital in Memphis.

Funeral service will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, December 2, 2017, at Pleasant Green in Mound Bayou with Pastor Ronald Coleman officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be from 2-6 p.m. Friday, December 1, 2017, at Byas Funeral Home in Cleveland.

Herdestine Stone-Rogers, 58, of Ruleville

Herdestine Stone-Rogers, 58, of Ruleville died November 26, 2017.

Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, December 2, 2017, at Lighthouse COGIC in Blaine with Elder Larry Lewis officiating. Burial will be in Mount Galilee Cemetery in Ruleville.

Survivors include mother Jackerlean Woodard of Ruleville; husband William Rogers of Ruleville; daughters Tyinika Stone Nash of Ruleville and Thyeshia Stone Keys of Southaven; daughter Fredrieka Johnson-Rogers of Ruleville; sisters Mexsana Paine, Dorothy J. Powell and Hattie M. Dennis, both of Memphis, Minnie L. Stone of Greenville, Diane Woodard of Ruleville, Willie M. Brocks of New Orleans and Shirley Woodard of Miami, FL; brothers Willie Dennis and Willie Harold Skipper of Memphis, Robert J. Dennis of Pasadena, MD, Herman and Freddie Starnes and Earnest Woodard, all of Ruleville; and Michael Dennis of Memphis; 5 grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Sam Sebastian Cefalu, 96, of Greenville

Funeral Mass for Sam Sebastian Cefalu, 96, of Greenville, formerly of Leland, was held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, November 29, 2017, at St. James Catholic Church in Leland.

He died Saturday, November 25, 2017, at the Baptist Attala Medical Center in Kosciusko.

Burial was in Leland-Stoneville Cemetery under the direction of Boone Funeral Home in Leland.

Sam was born in Biloxi and graduated from Leland High School. He married Ida Fratesi on January 18, 1942, and they were married 67 years before her death in 2009. Sam served in the US Navy during WWII as chauffeur to Admiral Nimitz of the Pacific Fleet. After his discharge, he returned to Leland and was part owner in the 7-Up Bottling Company and Modern Furniture and Appliance Company. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, the American Legion, the Leland Volunteer Fire Department, and the Leland Lions Club. He was a communicant of St. James Catholic Church. 

Sam was preceded in death by his wife, Ida Fratesi Cefalu; a son, Phillip Andrew Cefalu (Cary); and a daughter, Mimi Gould (David.)

He is survived by 3 daughters, Joanne Kaplan (Larry) of Greenville, Claire Mitchener (Bobby) of Brandon, and Gloria Norquist (Johnny) of Cleveland; brother, V.J. Cefalu (Carleen) of Leland; 9 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren; and a special friend, Nancy McCoy. 

A visitation will be held one hour before services at the church on Wednesday. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

Dudley Campbell Burke, 67, of Ruleville

Dudley Campbell Burke, 67, of Ruleville passed away November 29, 2017, at North Sunflower Medical Center.

Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Friday, December 1, 2017, at his home.

Celebration of Life Service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, December 2, 2017, at Ruleville Baptist Church with Rev. Robert Haney officiating. Interment will be in Lehrton Cemetery.

Dudley was born on March 5, 1950, to Dennis Rule Burke and Dudley Louise Sharkey Burke in Greenwood. He was a member of Ruleville Baptist Church.  He graduated from Ruleville High School then attended Delta State University where he was a part of the Kappa Alpha Fraternity and National Guard. Dudley was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt and fish. He was a simple man that spent his days enjoying friends, family, and coworkers.

He is preceded by his parents, Dennis Rule Burke and Dudley Louise Sharkey.

Dudley is survived by his brother, Pat S. Burke (Meg) of Clarksdale,; sister-in-law, Janie N. Burke of Greenville; nieces and nephews, Dennis R. Burke III (Emily) of Hernando, Dudley B. Couey of Greenville, Melanie B. Thomas (Joey) of Atlanta, GA, P. Sharkey Burke (Paige) of Jackson, and Genie B. Putnam (Tracy), missionaries of Russia; and a host of great- nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Sharkey Burke, Pete Burnett, Eddie Givens, Lawson Holiday, Butch Jenkins, Bubba Webb, and Dale Williams.

Olivia Womack Gilbert, 73

Olivia Womack Gilbert, 73, passed away November 29, 2017, at Bolivar Medical Center in Cleveland.

Visitation will be 10 a.m. Saturday, December 2, 2017, at Ray Funeral Home.

Celebration of Life Service will follow at 11 a.m. Saturday, December 2, 2017, at Ray Funeral Home with Rev. Clarence Edwards officiating. Interment will be in New Cleveland Cemetery.

Olivia was born on January 3, 1944, to Lee Edward Lusk and Eula Mae Boyd Lusk in Merigold. On April 11, 2012, she married her husband, Jimmy Gilbert in Lake Village, AR. Olivia worked at Baxter for 30 years until retirement. She not only loved to cook for her family and friends but also enjoyed eating with them too. Olivia spent her spare time playing cards or with her beloved grandchildren. She loved her family and loved to help others.

She is preceded in death by her first husband, Jimmy Womack; mother, Eula Mae Kelly; and father, Lee Edward Lusk.

Mrs. Gilbert is survived by her husband, Jimmy Gilbert; children, Memrie Melton (Sidney), Angie Womack, and James “Jim” Womack (Renea); stepdaughters, Lori Brackin and Jennifer Harris (Mitch); grandchildren, Sidney Melton Jr., Matthew Melton (Emily), Ann-Claire Melton, Allen Womack, Charles “Scoot” Cole, and Tyler Pearson; and siblings, Lawrence Lusk (Shirley), Donnie McKenzie, Lewis Lusk, and Linda Mosely.

Pallbearers will be Tyler Pearson, Johnny Roberson, Justin Ulrich, Steven Couey, Trip Hobbs, Jeffrey Myers, and Clay Peeples.

Honorary pallbearers will be Larry Lusk, Lee Lusk, Daron Lusk, Jeffrey Lusk, Joshua Ulrich, Kent Dakin, and Travis Washington.
